Love almond milk? We do too and we make a fresh batch every few days in the Beautyjuicer!
Almonds aren’t the typical food you think of juicing but the slow juicer is the perfect appliance for making your own almond milk. It’s not only easy but it is quick and there is nothing like the taste of freshly made almond milk seasoned the way you like it.
Nut milks are a great alternative to dairy especially if you are lactose intolerant. You don’t need to settle for store bought milks as they contain added ingredients like refined sugars and vegetables oils. They are also heat treated for pasteurization which makes them lose vital nutrients. The two main ingredients in almond milk are almonds and filtered water. If you like you can sweeten the mild creamy milk with medjool dates and / or vanilla bean, cinnamon and even chocolate. We also add a pinch of sea salt to bring out the flavor.
Almonds are an excellent source of wrinkle fighting antioxidants. Vitamin E helps maintain skin elasticity, promotes tissue repair and heals cracked lips. Calcium helps to strengthen nails & hair. Adding almond milk to your morning cereal or adding it to smoothies or baked goods helps assure your beauty from the inside out.
